The No 3 seed from Belgium Kim Clijsters moves onto the third round at the Australian Open 2011 with victory over Carla Suarez Navarro. Kim won the match with score of 6-1, 6-3. Kim beat out Dinara Safina 6-0, 6-0 in the first round.

The Toronto Raptors fell to the Washington Wizards 95-98. Andrea Bargnani scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Jose Calderon was close to a triple-double scoring 21 points grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing 15 assists. Nick Young had a whopping 18 points in the 3rd quarter and finished the game with 29 points. Blatche had a double-double grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds and 17 points. The Raptors have lost 3 in a row and will go to New Orleans to face the Hornets on Monday. The Wizards will host the Utah Jazz on Monday as well.

Los Angeles Lakers rolled right by the Golden State Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers rolled right by the Golden State Warriors beating them 115-110. Kobe Bryant had 39 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Pau Gasol had a good night, 24 points 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Monta Ellis played all 48 minutes and scored 38 points. The Warriors lost for the 2nd time in a row. While, on the other hand, the Lakers won their 6th in a row. The Lakers scored an amazing, 46 points in the 4th quarter, they scored just 45 points in the first half.

New York Giants beat the Washington Redskins

The New York Giants beat the Washington Redskins 17-14 in a must win game but didn’t make the playoff because of a Green Bay Packers win against the Bears. The Giants forced four Redskins turnovers, 3 fumbles and an interception. Eli Manning threw a career long 92 yard pass to Mario Manningham for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter. Manning threw for 243 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception and Manningham caught 4 passes for 104 yards. Rex Grossman threw for 336 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1interception and 2 fumbles. The Redskins end the season at 6-10 and the Giants at 10-6.

The Washington Wizards fell to the Hornets yesterday 81-92. John Wall scored 12 points and had 10 assists, but turned the ball over 8 times. Nick Young scored 24 points. Trevor Ariza had a good game scoring 22 points and 5 steals. Chris Paul had a monster game, 13 points 11 assists and 7 steals. The Wizards are playing the Philadelphia 76ers next. The Wizards are 2-0 against Philadelphia.

Lakers Beat New Orleans Hornets

The Lakers finally ended their 3 game skid by beating the New Orleans Hornets, 103-88. Lamar Odom had a great game scoring 24 points. Andrew Bynum had a good first start of the season scoring 18 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Chris Paul had a great game snatching 3 steals, dishing 7 assists and scoring 20. The Hornets started of 8-0 but now are 18-14. The Lakers will take on the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow and the Hornets will go against the injury filled Boston Celtics.

The Los Angeles Lakers continued their struggles and got crushed by the San Antonio 97-82. Kobe Bryant was 8-27 from the floor. At one point he had missed 13 in a row, but he still managed to score 21 points. The Lakers lost their 3rd straight. On the other end of the floor, Tony Parker scored 23 points and Richard Jefferson scored an above average 15 points. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli were not factors, scoring 11 points combined. Shooting only 4-19.
